Force Investigations is two days of intensive training on force-related topics. You know force events do not take place in a vacuum. They are high stress and rapidly evolving situations. Real-life encounters that take seconds to happen, but will be examined and dissected for hours, days, or even months.
From the law to humans performance, the force investigator must know what evidence is left behind by these life-changing events. They must recognize the impact fear has on human performance and how to investigate that fear. Force investigations demand the investigator understand time & distance considerations, real-world observational capabilities, video analysis and interpretation, and more.
Dennis Root is a nationally recognized expert in the use of force by law enforcement and for self-defense. He designed this training to help professional investigators understand and investigate force concepts and the force decision-making process.
Real-life encounters are examined to help the professional investigator differentiate between acts of self-defense and unlawful attack. You will use the information gained from this training to evaluate real-world force investigations and identify case strengths and weaknesses.
